This is a wide-spectrum forum. I’ll be talking here about being responsible in our democracy, politics, public art, architecture, life in America, music, books, people who are special to me. Every now and again you can be sure that I’ll rail against something I find especially egregious, ridiculous, or dangerous.
What do I expect from you? Smart comments. You don’t have to agree with me at all. But you do have to be civil and to demonstrate reason. I shall try to provide evidence for what I say. You should do the same. Don’t expect me to spend any time disproving what you might allege. It’s your job to prove it at the outset. If you flame, deride, or abuse, you’ll be expunged from the record. If you’ve said something particularly interesting, I might mention it in a later post.
